Barista/Cashier/Food Prep (Battle Ground) - NOT HIRING!! (GENERAL DESCRIPTION)

​

Compensation: $19.50-$20.50 including tips
Employment type: part-time to full-time
Job title: Barista/Cashier/Food Prep

Schedule: Weekend availability is required

BARISTA/CASHIER/FOOD PREP – JOB DESCRIPTION
-Greet customers, give excellent and friendly customer service to every customer, every time (no exception)
-Perform accurate handling of order placement via Point of Sale system (Toast)
-Brew coffee, espresso, cold/hot tea and other custom drinks as ordered by client
-Heat up, assemble and/or prepare cold/hot sandwiches, salads, to-go orders
-Stock pastries, cookies, bread, and other baked goods every morning and throughout the day when needed to refill case

-Re-stock cups, straws, lids, sugars, and coffee inventory as needed (check stock daily at opening)
-Make sure bathrooms are cleaned and adequately stocked with toilet paper, napkins, soap, etc. daily before opening
-Keep workstation neat, clean, organized and sanitized as soon as possible
-Clean up patron area, take out trash and wipe tables
-Working as part of a fun, high-energy team and be a team player
-Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls
-Attend company meetings, events, and training sessions as required
-Make to-go boxes, place stickers on boxes and pouches, restock to-go inventory
-Perform other duties outlined in Daily and Weekly task lists as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS – BARISTA/CASHIER/FOOD PREP

-A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
-Retail, hospitality, and/or customer service experience preferred
-Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
-Ability to understand preparation procedures and follow direction
-Basic mathematical skills
-Ability to problem-solve quickly
-Strong customer service and communication skills
-Ability to follow directions, recommendations, and constructive criticism from management/supervisors
-Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and the highest level of satisfaction for every customer
-Punctual, responsible, hardworking self-starter
-Ability to walk, bend, and stand for the duration of your shift
-Lift 25-50lb or as needed
-Ability to multi-task in a possibly high-stress environment
-Must be 18 years or older

The position is 25-35 hours a week and weekend availability is highly desired. Training is included. We offer competitive pay, sick pay, vacation pay and free meals.

Job Description: Prep-Baker ASSISTANT  - NOT HIRING!! (GENERAL DESCRIPTION)

Job Location: Sweetly Bakery – Battle Ground, WA 98604

Pay: $19.50+ Depending on experience/with tip share

Duration: Part time 20-25 per week

Availability: Monday – Saturday

 

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

  • Bake items as requested for special orders, following company recipes.

    • De-pan/wrap/label items prior made, complete tasks start to finish.

  • Bake items/bars/cheesecakes to put in the case per prior agreed schedule

  • Use worked up list of items already created (attached for reference)

  • Make items consistent to recipes with as minimum variation to flavor and consistency as possible.

  • Receive items as they arrive from suppliers (Peterson, Cash & Carry) and put in place, replenish ingredients, properly put away and store.

  • Maintain freezer inventory of items, different cake flavors and sizes, berries, etc.

  • Maintain freezer/fridge inventory of scones, cookies, etc. Make more as we run out.

  • Maintain a clean working space, timely and consistently wash prep area, shelves, kitchen dishes, pans, mixers and other accessories as they are used to not build up dirty dishes.

  • Maintain a positive attitude and be friendly and kind to all others at all times.

  • Work on certain special orders, when/if requested

  • Communicate clearly, timely and pro-actively as issues with ingredients/recipes /staff arise.

  • Communicate about completion/progress of items assigned via to-do requests

  • Respond positively to feedback, stand for long period of time

  • Other tasks as assigned by manager

  • Maintain a current WA Food handlers card

  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs
